History
RABO Enterprises was established in 1977 by Bob Kastner and Ralph Stern as a party rental company under the name Prestige Rentals, located in Tustin, CA. In 1983, Bob Kastner became sole owner and developed an equipment sales division, becoming the first to warehouse silver rim chinaware on the West Coast imported from Japan. In 1986, RABO developed and introduced Acrylic beverage dispensers. Over the years, RABO became a distributor of many equipment lines servicing the party rental industry, including exclusive distribution of the Lawnware reinforced Garden Café Vienna chair. In 2005, Mike Nicholson partnered with Bob and moved distribution to San Marcos, CA.
In 2007, GNS Holdings purchased RABO and moved the corporate office and warehouse to San Diego, CA. On the basis of current management’s extensive contacts and experience in Asia, long term sourcing partnerships were set up with key factories in China, which facilitated direct imports. A six person quality control team was hired in China to ensure quality and over see the process from raw materials to in-process production through finished goods.
